360 Degrees on the Scale of Life
Darkness. Complete. Thick.
A dream. You wake up and it turns out that you were born.
Somewhere. Somehow. Here! Right here.
Here, in a difficult place to live. Every place is difficult. You’re spinning in a circle. Around you. Slowly. Very slow. Your life passes you by.
Every movement changes it, every gesture, every look, every sadness, smile and tears make it a new one, a different one…
One step and you are in it. In its centre. The world revolves around you.
One move and you're out. The world goes on without you. You're going. Forward. Back.
You're in a hurry. You are running in order to forget that you're alive. Because you have forgotten what it is to feel, find, discover, explore.
A Collision. You stop. You're listening. Watching. Finding. Discovering. Feeling.
You want to forget that you forgot to feel.
But you can feel again. It's you again. You? Who? Who are you? Different? Same? With whom? Since when? Where? Why?
You know. The world will not go on without you.
The colours disappear every time you close your eyes.
Feelings disappear every time you close your heart.
The heat disappears every time you clench your fist.
You are the world. You are alive when you are open to it.
But sometimes you have to:
Close your eyes in order to see;
Be silent in order to speak;
Escape in order to return;
Get lost in order to find yourself;
Fall down in order to rise up;
Stop thinking in order to realise;
Stop searching in order to find';
Stop if you want to continue.
Yes, Sometimes you have to stop and look around.
Look around yourself - 360 degrees. Slowly. Very slowly.
And you would hear again the sound of the water when you swim; the sound of the grass when you run barefoot on it; the rumble of the shell when a bird comes out of the egg; the beating of the newborn's heart…
You need to remember the important things, the real things in life.
Those who made you alive.
Breathe and remember!

360° (2007) is an author's performance by Andrei Batashov. The beloved actor and director is called the Aristocrat of the Bulgarian Theatre.
"This performance is a symbol of the sun, unity and territory that someone can conquer," said Andrei.

"The show is based on sound and light. There are no dialogues. The actors are charming men in black. The four dancing, singing and playing men suggest that people can express themselves not only through words, if they speak the language of music, dances, body movements, actions. They use mainly percussion instruments, they use light, they use their bodies, they use our minds to tell us our own life story. This is!"
The message of the artists is the joy of life - we move, feel, experience and express all these emotions in millions different ways.
Andrei Batashov was born on December 10, 1965 in Volgograd, Russia. In 1989, he graduated from the National Academy of Theatre and Film Art in Sofia, Bulgaria.
